AMIE is legal or not as per AICTE norms ?

Those AMIEans who are bothered about that AMIE is legal or not as per AICTE norms or those  AMIEans Who face many problem in their daily life, specially study in abroad or for getting promotion in Govt job regarding this issue, this
post is for them. 
And this is the time to be relaxed as Govt of India has already declared that AMIE is fully legal and the AMIEans can get higher study in abroad, not only this, they also can get promotions in Govt job. As it is known to us that approval of AICTE for AMIE section A and section B course is in hand of Delhi high court and the next hearing date is on 9^th January, 2014, so we have to wait some times for that. But don’t worry friends, I am going to share an article of Hindustan Times (HINDUSTAN TIMES, New Delhi,22^nd Dec, 2012) with you which will be enough to make you relax.

According to the AICTE Chairman SS Mohanta, “The ALL-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has decided to allow technical education, including engineering through the distance learning mode, as long as laboratory work is done in face to face sessions.

But there is a rider. Only students who have at least one diploma or degree through regular class room learning can seek these distance technical education degrees. The relaxation will not apply to architecture and pharmacy courses.”
